I wan't to have History of beauty in "currenty reading" shelf and in "I own" shelf. But if a put it in "I own" it dissapears in "Currently reading".

Hi All,
You can now add a book to more than one shelf. Hover over the book cover, select "Add to my shelf" then tick the box next to the shelf you want to add the book to and select save. Thanks Cait ;)

I was really excited about the idea of this site when I stumbled upon it. The fact that I couldn't put a book on multiple shelves, though, stifled some of my enthusiasm. Like others, I have books that don't fit neatly into the current categories. It seems like these tags fit into three different categories: borrowing/lending, owning/want to buy, and reading/have read/want to read. Perhaps a book can be tagged in each of these three categories...so you have three sets of bookshelves. Or a bookshelf a shopping cart and a lending...table? I don't know exactly how it should work, but the current system really cuts back on the usefulness of the site for me. That said, I think the idea and rest of the features on the site are pretty nifty.

The theory originally was to mimic a real bookshelf where one book can only be on one shelf. I think the whole book transfer idea could be complex if every time a book was moved a copy was left behind.
Let me know what you think or if you have a better process in mind.

I supposed that was a matter of the metaphor and that you only can have a book in one bookshelf.
But I should be able to mark a boos as mine (or that I have borrowed) and to indicate that I'm currently reading.
The idea of bookshelves is good. But maybe you can work with copies of book. I have one copie in "Currently reading" shelf, other in "I have borrowed" shelf and other in "Books I want to buy", because a Friend has lend it to me, and I'm reading it and I love it so much that I want to buy it.
I think it could make richer the application.

Hey,
I think a great thing to do when viewing one shelf would be to have on the mouse over window a view of which other shelves the book is in already and have an option to add it to a new category in addition to its current one. I own a lot of books and many of them I haven't read, so it's a bit difficult for me to differentiate between the books I have that I've read already and the ones I haven't- of course I know which is which, but it's nice to have it on the site for my friends and future reference.
Thanks so much for the site, I like the configuration better than some other library sites I've seen, even though I have some more ideas.
