what is the deal about this book??? ok so lennie is aparently mentaly retarted and george is what?? is he gay or anger issues?? and why is he so concerned about girls flirting with lennie?? can someone please help explain this book to me...

Lennie, is mentally retarded. His strength is more than mature, this is a dangerous combination. Great strength and no wits to contain it.
If I told you why George wants to keep Lennie away from girls it would ruin the ending. However, I can say George is not gay, he just sees danger in Lennie and a soft heart.
