Booktagger

Each Booktagger profile is a graphical representation of your physical
bookshelf on the internet. The bookshelf can then be shared with
friends, family and others searching for the next good read.

The best way to learn about Booktagger is to join and start adding books to your shelves.

Yes

To find a book type in the title, author ISBN or description into the Book Search field (top left corner). Select Go. Results should be displayed.

Books can be added to book shelves by hovering over a book cover, select "Add to my shelf" and then select the shelves and then save.
If you are logged in via booktagger.com you can also add book by dragging any book cover found on this site onto your shelf. Books are displayed through search results, on other user's shelves, in book clubs and book profile pages.

To add a book to a shelf at www.booktagger.com via drag and drop:
-Login

-Find a book cover you want to display on your shelf

-Left mouse click on the cover and drag and drop it onto the bar under "Your Shelf" with the name of the desired bookshelf (see picture below)

Tip: When you drag and drop a book onto your shelves the shelf that is highlighted will be the destination. See how the "I Own" shelf is highlighted in the picture below? It is the destination shelf.

The tags on the right hand side of the page are categories or labels that are arbitrarily assigned by members to books. The tags displayed are some of the popular tags of the site. These will change from time to time as other tags become popular. Notice we also made them look a bit like a row of books :).

To add tags to your own books hover over a book jacket, select "Book info" then on the book page select "Tag this book".

Tags help you to label words that you feel are appropriate for the books you've read.

I'm pleased to announce that we've released a Booktagger widget to display your shelves on other websites. Like this example site on Blogger/Blogspot.

Once you've signed into Booktagger select My Bookshelf and you'll notice a new link on the right hand column.

Once you click on the link you'll see our Booktagger widget generator screen which will help you generate the HTML code to Embed into your website. As the code is in JavaScript some websites like Facebook don't support it. However others like Blogger do. We're compiling a list of supported sites and are also working to extend our widget base to work on all platforms.

Currently book list import and exports are not supported. We believe in data portability and are developing a book import/export module.
